Engine Regs - Road Cars

Looking for any advice or confirmation on engines.
I have a Peugeot 205 project which is being built specifically for use in the roadgoing class. It's a low spec car which came with a 956cc engine and I'm planning to turbo this currently.

The specs do say about engine being from a specified option. I read this as meaning that I can fit any Peugeot 205 engine in the future. So when I eventually destroy the little 956, I intend to jump up to a 1360 from one of the other 205 variants. Is this a safe plan or have a set myself up for problems?

As long as the block was fitted to that model, you're good. So you could fit any engine fitted by Peugeot to any 205 variant, anywhere in the world.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought that was the case and fortunate that it is. Now to get on with the build!
