I have been having a conversation on the B19 FB page about this.
Mallory is 225 per day, I find this ridiculous. Compared to Curborough, Hethel or Debden. Mallory is basically about 5 corners, it is not a premium venue at all, they have nothing whatsoever there that is top level anymore so they are ...

Re: Rising costs getting out of hand
In all honesty as a fairly new person to speed events, sprints could almost be behind closed doors, there is little to no spectator interest.
Hillclimbs are set usually in more amenable places, nicer surroundings, and it is just an easier sport to watch as a result.

Re: Hillclimb TV coverage
My only point would be it does not need to be better, it is perfectly fine as it is, I think this is the teams personal ambition and drive to endlessly improve which is admirable, it has done a huge amount for this sport already.
I do sympathise with the later points though, I had heard the same ...

Re: Rising costs getting out of hand
As a person just getting into sprints, the impact of circuits I find a bit sad.
But I can only presume it is because airfields and other venues are just very hard to get hold of and the work that has to be done to secure insurance and safety and licences is long and arduous these days, it is easier ...

Re: 2026 Predictions
Well a great start to the year, a few cars missing which is a shame, but no shock with all that is going on in the world.
Some great drives, lovely to see Will win one today, very well deserved he looked the man to beat for me all day. Wallace and Matt as consistent as ever, you really are going ...

Re: Hillclimb TV coverage
I think the folks that do the coverage are a bit burned out, it is a lot of work to set up the cameras, onboards, sort out all the IT< travel, staying away etc.
From what I gather it is not about money per se, though I think what they have done deserves a lot more financial input from clubs and the ...

Re: Track changes
From what I saw last weekend it is extremely dicey when wet. But I am sure it will improve in time.
Remember when the first ess was like ice all year round, might be a bit like that until it is rubbered in, with the lack of tress now able to get some heat into it

Re: 2026 Predictions
I think a lot will depends on tyres and the like. Getting out early has been great for some, to get used to tyres, are they different, are they the same.
I always felt last two years Wallace accident and the change of tyres affected his speed a little, Craigantlet was a very scary crash, you have ...
