Scammonden dam 26th July cancelled.

I was entered in this, and was disappointed to hear last night Yorkshire water had pulled the plug (excuse the pun) last minute and refused permission. I hope this is down to fire risk rather than some underlying reason to ban motorsport at the event.
I feel for the organisers after all the hard work it takes to organise an event.

I hope it's not the end for Scam dam, long ago I have done Baitings and more recently Lys y Fran, Scam dam is the last of the line so would be a sad loss.

I passed by Scammy Dam on Sunday en route to Harewood. It looked scorched and might possibly done as a precaution to prevent another moorland fire.

The hillclimb at Scammonden that was scheduled for 15 August has also now been cancelled. No explanation for this cancellation either

Such a shame, I was booked to compete at that one too. I’d love to know the reason why.
